Definition of Suspense

Suspense is a state or condition of mental uncertainty or excitement, as in awaiting a decision or outcome, usually accompanied by a degree of apprehension or anxiety. Suspense is a high level of anticipation, ultra-heightened expectation and nerve-wracking tension. Suspense keeps the audience intrigued and at the edge of their seats as the plot bults towards the climax.
