Photo 'Words' Activity

Depression - This image shows our interpretation of depression. The denotation of this picture is an image of a girl cutting her wrist, self-harm could be considered to be one of the elements of depression. We chose to keep her face out of the picture to create an element of suspense. The lighting of the room is slightly dark but most of the light focuses on her hands and wrists. I feel our photo connotes the word depression.
